Gilberto Duarte July 15, 1948 - June 25, 2024 Gilberto Duarte, 75, of Rock Island, passed away, June 25, 2024, at his daughter's Lynda and Ray's home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to the family. Gilberto was born on July 15, 1948, in Santiago Papasquiaro, Durango, Mexico, the son of Consuelo Avitia and Andres Duarte. Gilberto worked as a mechanic in the Chicago land area for 45 years. He was a caring man who loved his family and had a strong faith in God.
