Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2024, at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Private committal services will be held at Greenview Memorial Gardens.Mr. Skiles passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Genesis Silvis.Bill was born July 22, 1950, in Moline, IL, the son of Garrett and Laura Lefever Skiles. He was a proud graduate of United Township class of 1968. He married Linda "Lin" Dyer March 27, 1999, in Moline. He was a member of the Optimist, a member of Fin and Feather Club, and Prairie Rod and Gun. He was an established recruiter for various trucking companies. He was the proud founder of Skiles Driving School and taught hundreds of teenagers to drive. Bill will be forever remembered by his stories and witty sense of humor. He was always the first to off
