Ladd PoellDecember 8, 1937 - March 12, 2025Ladd Poell of Moline, Ill. passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on March 12, 2025.A funeral mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Don Levitt officiating. A rosary will be recited at 1 p.m., Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, Ill., with visitation following from 2 to 5 p.m. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church or to the Rock Island County Animal Shelter.Ladd was born on December 8, 1937, to Henry and Lillian (Pettersen) Poell. He graduated from Dubuque High School in 1956 and shortly after, met his best friend and the love of his life, Helen (Tholl) Poell.
